A Cowboy's Life: Why I Love Raising a Boy

Why I Love Raising a Boy

Joys of raising boys

I LOVE being a mom to a boy. I love that my house is always loud, that I have enough equipment to fill a sporting good store and that parts of nature always finds its way inside my home. I wanted to share some of my favorite things about raising a boy:

Dirty, stinky, messy boys means they are having fun.
Boys can pee outside! Enough said.
Anything can be turned into a gun or sword.
Burping and farting is always funny. I don't think this changes, no matter the age of the boy.
They are so fun to dress! They look like little men...it's just so cute.
They are hilarious. Laughter is constant in our house.
Watching my husband and my son play together. The bond they have is amazing.

What do you love about having boys?

  2. When I found out my second child was also a boy, I was a little sad. But since he got here, I have LOVED having two boys. Such a fun energy in the house, and they sure do love their mama! They are teenagers now, but there is never a dull moment. Your little guy is adorable!

  3. I love love love having 3 boys !!!! I wished for one girl ~ but truth is that I was not cut out to be a girl's mom !! I LOVE being a boy's Mom and I cant totally relate to your post. But there are a lot of fights too. "He used my laptop !" "I want to sit with Mom in the front seat of the car" "If he goes out with his friends, why cant I ?" "If he got to play the play station, why cant I ?" Dozens of small and big fights EVERY day ~ but I wouldn't change that for the WORLD. I LOVE them so much.

  5. Boys are so fun!! I love my son and luckily my daughter is a good ole lil country girl so she loves the outdoors just as much. While they both love the outdoors they are still so different. My son is definitely my husband made over while my daughter is more like me. I have to say I am blessed and my kids are my world!
