No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies


Ingredients needed:
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
3 cups 1 minute oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoon cocoa
coconut *optional

chocolate oatmeal cookies


Cook sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir until blended. Add vanilla and dry oatmeal. Place spoonful onto wax paper. Cookies will set firmly when cool. Once cookies have set you can top with coconut crumbs.

*Baking tip - cookies will not set in humid environment or when using whipped butter.

  6. I have loved this recipe since I was a little girl. It is SO good! I usually half my recipe because I tend to eat a ton in one sitting and make myself sick. Not fun. lol I've never added coconut to mine though- must try that!

  11. I make these cookies all the time , Have been for years. I have never used the coconut, but next time I make them, I`m gonna add maybe 1 cup of coconut to the mixture before I spoon them out!
