summer kids activities
I love summer, but the days can be long with a toddler. But it's easy to pass the time when you have a list of go-to activities to keep them occupied. The great thing about toddlers, is that they think just about anything is cool!

Here is a list of our favorite summer activities. The best part is they are all free or inexpensive!

Outdoor Activities:
Visit different parks in the area
Go swimming or to the splash pads - toddlers never get tired of playing in the water
Planting flowers/seeds
Watering the grass
Picnics in the park
Dig in the dirt
Fishing - We use a pool with just the bobber and no hook

Indoor Activities:
Build a fort with furniture and a sheet
Visit local libraries for story time
Bake cookies
Play with puzzles and matching games
Making Pinterest crafts
Read, read and read some more

How do you keep your kiddos busy during the summer?

I am a little embarrassed to say that I've never taken Mia to story time at the library. She would LOVE it so I'm definitely adding that to our list!
