Easiest Beer Battered Onion Rings Recipe

Not only are these the easiest Beer Battered Onion Rings recipe, but they are hands down the best! They are so good, that a dip is not even needed. These rings are the perfect appetizer or paired with a main dish.

Ingredients needed:
1 white onion, sliced
1 cup self-rising flour
1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tsp salt
1 cup Shiner beer
1 tsp Cholula
Vegetable oil for frying

Directions:
Separate onion into rings. In a large bowl, combine onion and 2 tablespoons flour. In separate bowl, combine remaining 1 cup flour, cornmeal and salt. Add beer and Cholula, whisking until combined.

In large skillet heat oil. In batches, remove onion rings and dip in beer mixture. Carefully place in hot oil and fry until golden brown (approximately 3 minutes.)
