Meeting New Friends is Fun!
I remember as a child I was only allowed to watch cartoons on Saturday morning. Mostly because my parents wanted us outside playing, but also because that’s the only time they come on. (Of course that was the early 80’s and we had a floor model television and had yet to know that people actually had cable.) And although there was still a variety to choose from, they all had one thing in common. They taught principals and morals. Those classics are long gone, but one show remains that continues to focus on strong values and lessons of faith – VeggieTales.
Carson & Bob
VeggieTales is one of my son’s favorite shows! Which of course I don’t mind because it helps reinforce the same faith based lessons we are trying to teach him. Plus how can you not like talking vegetables with great songs?

So while out shopping at Walmart a while back, my son squealed in delight when he saw a big display of VeggieTales toys. Of course I let him pick one and he just couldn’t wait to get home to play.

We went grocery shopping after church on Sunday and Bob had to tag along.  Carson said, "Bob likes to visit his family and friends."  This child seriously kills me!
Off to visit Friends...

Family Reunion of Sorts....VeggieTales Fun

Carson had to reassure Bob...He can visit his family any time.

What was your favorite cartoon as a child? Do your kids enjoy VeggieTales?
