Walburg Restaurant

About 30 miles outside of Austin there is the cute, sleepy little town Walburg, Texas. But on the weekends it comes to life at the Walburg Restaurant, famous for its expansive biergarten nestle behind the restaurant. Whether you are looking for a true German meal or to just relax outside and listen to some yodelers, then this is the place for you!

Walburg Restaurant

The restaurant is set in the Mercantile building, built in 1882. Here you can enjoy an extensive buffet or order from the menu. Out back, grab a picnic table under an oak tree and enjoy some German & American food and a wide variety of beer on tap. They even have an arcade for the kids!

Although this restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, it is worth the drive. Spending the evening listening to music, eating great food and enjoying the beautiful setting made for the perfect Saturday night!

  7. I miss Texas, we used to live in Dallas and would take off to different little towns, some of our favs were the Bandera, the Hill Country and Marble Falls, but there were do many. Anywhere we could drive 3-4 hours, find a quaint little town, get a bite to eat and head back.

    Hope you enjoy your week!
