A Cowboy's Life: Head of the Class

Head of the Class

6:40:00 AM

Life has been crazy around here! Lots of changes, new routines and trying to find our groove. Over the summer I took the leap of faith and decided to make a career change. I went through a program to get my teaching certificate and starting applying at schools.

I didn't know what to expect or if I would even get hired this school year. But my family and I kept praying for the perfect school district and left it in God's hands. Then right before we left for our summer vacation I received a job offer from a local school district!

I signed my contract before we left and felt such relief...Only to be shot down with a major issue with HR. I will spare you the details, but after weeks of frustration and confusion I am happy to report it all worked out!

I am now finishing up my first two weeks of teaching 8th grade computer & technology and it has been wonderful. Junior High is such a fun and challenging age - my days are anything but boring.

Feel free to send me good thoughts throughout the school year.

  3. My sister's had a very similar experience. She needed a new job after our dad passed away and prayed to find something close to home and part time so she could volunteer still. She applied to a few jobs before the funeral and last month got accepted! Everything works out for the best when you leave things in the right hands, so all the best for your new challenge!
