A Cowboy's Life: But first, Coffee

But first, Coffee

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Folgers. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

This past weekend we spent the weekend in the country relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. And although we were on vacation, my son still felt the need to wake at the crack of dawn – specifically to go fishing. He clearly did not get the memo that you are supposed to sleep late on vacation!

I told him we could go fishing if he let me enjoy one cup of coffee before we embarked on our outdoor adventure. So I grabbed a plate of mini cinnamon rolls, hot cup of coffee and Folgers Flavors to enjoy outside on the picnic table overlooking the water and listening to the rooster crow. As a parent, these quiet times are few and far between, so I want to enjoy every last minute of it. Plus it just makes it a little easier to get through the day!

Folgers Flavors are great for on-the-go because they don’t require refrigeration and come in Hazelnut, Vanilla, Mocha and Caramel flavors. These flavor enhancers come in a portable squeeze container and also taste great in iced coffee.

I preferred to drink mine while enjoying these cinnamon rolls – I was on vacation after all!

Ingredients:
1-8oz tube crescent roll dough
2 Tablespoons butter
Cinnamon
Brown sugar
  1. Preheat oven according to crescent roll dough package directions. Layout half the dough (4 triangles) and pinch all the seams together. Flip over and pinch the seams on the back side together.
  2. Smooth the seams and roll the dough into a square about 1/4" thick. Brush with half the butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar (more is always better). Roll into a log and cut into 8 pieces.
  3. Place mini cinnamon rolls into a non-stick sprayed mini muffin tin. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the the remainder crescent roll dough. Bake according to package directions.
Although the majority of my days do not involve a calm morning in the country, I can still enjoy those first few moments of silence with a cup of coffee with Folgers Flavors.

How do you enjoy your coffee? Do you need a little remix to spice up the flavor? Don't forget to leave a comment below for a chance to win two samples of Folgers Flavors. (Winner will randomly be chosen on November 1.)

*Contest entrants are only eligible to win once per sweepstakes, per household as part of a campaign sponsored by Influence Central.

  8. I love Folgers. Folgers was the only coffee my parents drank and I grew up on it so, these flavors sound great. I love Hazelnut creamer in my coffee.
