A Cowboy's Life: Hunting Adventures

Hunting Adventures

11:33:00 PM

Bow hunting - it's what my son's world revolves around right now. We are constantly shooting targets in the backyard, watching kids shoot on youtube and then exploring the woods at a local bow hunting range.

Cinnamon Creek Ranch is near our home and has an indoor shooting range and several trails throughout the ranch that have 3D targets. We went to the outdoor ranges last week for the first time and Carson was in bow hunting heaven! He got his first "trophy buck" when he shot a deer right in the side. But don't worry, no animals were harmed in this adventure:)

  4. This is awesome! My friend bow hunts and I keep asking him to teach me (as I'm not a rifle user). I wish there was a place like this close to me where I could practice and learn!

  5. Really cool! I've been curious forever on how to learn to shoot with a bow (being Sagittarius, I guess the bow and arrow has always been a major symbol for me.) Love that shot you have for your feature image, the motion is awesome! :D And congrats to your son for his first "trophy buck"!

  6. Bow hunting is huge around here too and kids start early also. Sadly my girls never had interest - they'd rather hug one!

  10. That is a really neat bow. My son wants to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow and he could learn with that!

  11. It looks like he is really serious about what he is doing. I'm sure he will be great with that bow someday.
