A Cowboy's Life: 12 Days of Christmas

12 Days of Christmas

My mom, Carson and I recently visited the Dallas Arboretum for the 12 Days of Christmas exhibit. This is a unique and beautiful holiday tradition that is a must do each year. The exhibit features 12 elaborate 25-foot Victorian gazebos filled with the charming costumed characters and whimsical animals made famous by the beloved Christmas carol. Each gazebo is extravagantly decorated on all sides to provide a dramatic, three-dimensional experience, and features mechanical parts and festive music that bring the characters to life.
The gazebos are placed along a mile trail taking your throughout the garden. This winter wonderland is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Throughout the garden there are over 500,000 lights illuminating the architecture and canopies and of course on the 30 foot tree that sits in the center of the property.

If you are in the DFW area and looking for something festive to do during the holidays, I highly recommend visiting the Dallas Arboretum. The 12 Days of Christmas will be on display until January 3, 2016.
