I can’t believe that Christmas is just two weeks away! That means 13 shopping days left to run around to different stores, finish up your shopping list and finding gifts for those that are hard to buy for. For me, my go-to gift for those that are hard to buy for is cologne – which is typically my nephews.

My nephews typically don’t ask for anything for Christmas except for money or cologne. And as much as I know that they LOVE money, I want to give them a gift that they can unwrap and use right away. I always lean towards purchasing COTY Fragrance Gift Sets – specifically Stetson cologne because it reminds me of my brothers and it smells wonderful.
As I was in Walmart purchasing the cologne, I couldn’t help but reminisce about some of my favorite childhood Christmas memories. These are a few of the most memorable:
  • After opening all the presents, my parents asked me to take the trash bag out to the garage. I came back into the living confused and told everyone, that a stranger left their bikes in our garage. For some reason it never dawned on me that they were actually for us kids. Ha, talk about a blonde moment!
  • Getting a Nintendo in 1986. That was the one and only day my dad has ever played it. (My parents still have the game system and it’s a favorite with all the grandkids.)
  • Every year from 6-12 grade, my brothers received a gift set of Stetson cologne. To this day, I can still picture my brothers with their bowl cuts and peach fuzz as they open the gift. It’s no wonder that this memory sticks because smell is the most powerful of all senses.
