7 Ways to be Active As a Family

Life is hectic! So many things on our to-do list and not enough time. Something that has been a priority lately for my family is getting outside and staying active as a family. Working out can be such a chore sometimes and I don’t like sacrificing time away from my son to go to the gym.
But being active together as a family, not only helps us lead a healthy lifestyle, but brings us together by making exercise fun. Here are 7 ways to be active as a family.
Get Outdoors - It is easier to get kids involved when you are outside exploring. The possibilities are endless on what kids of exercises you can do!
Plan Ahead - Plan out that weeks activities and ask the kids what games, sports or physical activities they would like to do. 

Fishing - Find a great pond (many neighborhoods keep them stocked) and as you are fishing walk around the pond to find out where the fish are biting.

Go for a hike - This is by far our favorite activity. It’s free, fun and there are plenty of trails to choose from.
Play at the park - Join in on the fun instead of sitting on the park bench. Climb up the jungle gym and get to swinging.
Circuits - Raining day? No worries. Do a circuit that everyone can do such as pushups, sit-ups and jumping jacks.
