Spring break is next week…this year is flying! A vacation getaway isn’t in our plans, but I found plenty of things to do in Fort Worth to keep us entertained and enjoy the time off.
5 Spring Break Ideas in Fort Worth:
Fort Worth Boat Expo – Dreaming of owning your own boat or upgrading what you have? Then head over to the Fort Worth Boat Expo that is happening next week! March 16-19. 3 – 8pm Thursday and Friday; 10am – 8pm Saturday; 10am – 5pm Sunday. Come see hundreds of new 2017 boat models at the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall located at 3400 Burnett Tandy Dr. Fort Worth, TX 76107. Cost is $10 adults, under 16 are free.
Water Gardens – Explore the three different waterfalls in the garden. The best time to visit is at night when the water is lit with different colored lights.
Cattle Drive – Head over to the Stockyards at 11:30 or 4 to watch the daily cattle drive. The cattle auctions are long gone, but you can still get a taste of what the old west once was.
Mural scavenger hunt – There are many unique and beautiful murals throughout the city. Grab your camera and strike a pose at each one.
Picnic at DFW Founders Plaza – Enjoy a picnic at DFW airport while watching airplanes fly over you. At the park you will also be able to listen to the broadcasts of air traffic control communication from the FAA tower.
